Our approach
We want students with different abilities and access needs to be able to use KnowledgeSet. We’re working to improve accessibility as we develop the platform, and we know there is more to do.
Some parts of the site already use accessibility features such as structured headings, descriptive labels, and visible keyboard focus indicators. These are steps towards a more usable experience, rather than a guarantee that every page or activity works well for everyone.
Where we are today
KnowledgeSet has not yet undergone a full accessibility assessment. We cannot currently confirm that the whole platform meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), or claim conformance with a particular level.
There may be barriers we have not identified yet, including when using assistive technology or interactive learning tools. We’re continuing to review and improve the experience.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines provide a reference for this work. We’ll update this statement as we learn more about the platform’s accessibility and make improvements.
Tell us if something gets in your way
If you have difficulty using KnowledgeSet, or need help accessing learning content, please email support@knowledgeset.co.uk.
It helps if you can include:
- The page or activity you were trying to use.
- What you were trying to do and what went wrong.
- Your browser, device, and any assistive technology you were using, if you’re comfortable sharing that.
You don’t need to share a diagnosis or medical information. We’ll use your feedback to understand the issue and work with you to find a practical way to help where we can.
