Changing your study level
Switch qualifications, choose your subjects again and keep your learning history.

Your study level is the qualification or level you are working towards, such as GCSE, IGCSE or A-level. It determines which subjects and courses you can choose for your current setup.
It is separate from your school year. To change only your school year, use Account settings.
Change your study level
- Open the account menu and choose Learning setup.
- Find the Study level section.
- Use Choose a new level to select the qualification you want.
- Select Change study level.
- Read the confirmation, then choose Change to [your selected level] to continue.
If you change your mind at the confirmation, select Keep current level. Your saved subjects and courses stay as they are.
What gets reset?
A confirmed change clears your current subject and course selections, including their optional-topic choices. This gives you a fresh setup for the new qualification.
For example, moving from GCSE to A-level means choosing your A-level subjects and courses again. KnowledgeSet does not guess which courses you will take or carry GCSE options into an A-level course.
Choosing the level already saved on your account does not reset your subjects.
What is kept?
Your existing learning progress, ratings and practice history are kept. Your name, school year and sign-in email are not changed by this action.
Different courses can contain different material, so keeping your history does not mean every topic in a new course will appear completed.
Changing study level does not cancel your subscription. Subscription management is available through Billing & plan.
Choose your subjects again
After the change succeeds, Learning setup shows the new level with no subjects selected.
Select Manage subjects when you are ready to add your new subjects, exam boards and courses. You do not need to create another account or repeat the initial account-creation process.

If the result is unclear
Wait for the request to finish and read the message shown. If KnowledgeSet cannot confirm the change, use the offered reload action to check your saved learning setup before attempting another change.
